Ah, Almaty…I thought I would be writing my Wednesday blog from Almaty…But I am here in Delhi…we cancelled the plan… a day before the travel schedule… hotel and flight tickets booked… guide hired… itineraries made… suitcases packed…this is the life of a business house… life is unplanned many times…but it has its perks also…

But the feel better factor is…it was snowing… raining and the temperature was -7…while planning the trip it predicted 7 to 14… Rather getting stuck in the hotel in rains and chill… its okay that we are not going… as traveling with parents… one needs to care for a lot of things… disappointment…but it’s okay…

Anyways…let me share my week with you…

Sunday my visit to slum for pad distribution… now I am a friend in the slum… kids smile… wave and get photos clicked with me… I am welcomed… it’s is an overwhelming emotion… I was teaching one of my favourite kid reading my name… she could read… MATA… not… MEETA… my gratitude to them for bringing so much joy to me… want to set up tuition centre there… I am trying…

Had dinner at SETZ at Emporio… it was a birthday celebration of my nephew Rishabh… the food, the hospitality was simply amazing… from a simple yellow daal, aloo matar to chicken… it was awesome… the compliment for the chicken was “IT WAS THE BEST CHICKEN IN INDIA”… but I am a vegetarian… so my loss…

Had a casual dinner with work team at SOY 7… Cyber hub… the place was vibrant as usual… good food… house full… they had put a boxing competition there… first I thought… why a boxing …but honestly we enjoyed watching the game…

I met two people… whom we all meet people every day…

Col. Rohit… who we have interviewed @sipping thoughts… he inspires… for his MISSION FIGHT BACK cause…

Met Puja Bahri… had discussion on art… it’s exciting…

Met Sandhya Katyal… MONKE WISE…Again an initiative to teach in the government underprivileged schools beyond studies… was nice meeting her…

The dots will connect…

I gave my support for NAHI MEANS NO… At least another voice will add to the message…

I visited the Noida export mart… the EPCH … it’s my twice a year affair… so much is being exported out of the country… the textile… metal… craft… the fair was vibrant with foreign buyers…I feel proud …

The moon was beautiful from the garden… I stopped n smiled…

I read the book GHACHAR GHOCHAR… I got a recommendation and review emails from Goodreads… how the internet is following you everywhere… I gave my review though… but it’s intimidating…

We added a much awaited pair of lamps in our bedroom… being in the design and creative industry… finding a good product is always a challenge… anyways… good things don’t come easy… we bought a carpet… cut into pieces… made frames… added leather ribbons… bought lamps from OMA… designed it in an angle so the shadow create a pyramid behind the bed wall… and we are happy and excited…

And let me share my dress n shoes worry every day… I should keep 15 minutes extra for finally being happy to walk out in the morning… colour co-ordination… sandals or shoes… silver or gold accessories… I get bothered…

What to do when you realise your dress is too short for an official meeting… added a co-ordinating skirt as usual… matched the sandals… and I am good to go… no time to overthink over your clothes…

It took me sometime today morning to figure out the right shoes… spoiled for choice… finally, I wore all black…

The festive season is here so what is Puja Perfect…how to dress up for Puja? I think style is your own statement…for me classic and traditional always works…

Love you life…
